The Gender Index (TGI) Australia is proud to announce its official launch on Wednesday 2 September 2026 at Westpac's Sydney headquarters.

Bringing together leaders from government, banking, industry, academia, investment and the entrepreneurial ecosystem, the inaugural event will mark the beginning of a national conversation about the role of data in improving outcomes for female-led businesses across Australia.

The evening will unveil the findings of TGI Australia's inaugural national research report, providing new insight into the opportunities, barriers and structural challenges experienced by female founders and business leaders. More importantly, it will explore what these findings mean for policymakers, financial institutions, investors and corporate Australia, and how evidence-led collaboration can drive meaningful change.

Through keynote presentations, fireside discussions and interactive breakout sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with leading experts, share perspectives and help shape practical actions that improve access to capital, support business growth and strengthen Australia's entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The launch represents more than the release of a report; it marks the establishment of a long-term national initiative committed to measuring progress, informing policy and bringing together organisations that share a common ambition to create a more inclusive and productive economy.
